Each year at MMPS a group of interested parents form our Fundraising Committee. The President of the Fundraising Committee becomes a member of School Council and attends School Council meetings throughout the year. There are approximately 8 School Council meetings per year.
Each month the Fundraising Committee meet to discuss and plan events for the enjoyment of our whole school community. These activities range from morning tea for new parents to whole school activities like the annual Carnivale. A calendar of events is planned early each year and members of the Fundraising Committee assist with the organisation of these events. Some committee members may only be involved in the organisation of one particular event due to family or other committments.
Involvement in the Fundraising Committee is a great way to get involved with parents at our school. Aside from helping to bring our community together to celebrate learning at MMPS the funds raised by the committee each year assist the school to purchase much needed equipment.
Parents can join at any time during the year. Regular Fundraising Committee updates are promoted in the school newsletter fortnight.
